The NCSU Libraries has four branch libraries that support specific colleges and programs at the university. They offer full access to the Libraries’ online information system, as well as to electronic databases. Staff at each branch are eager to help you with instructional sessions on how to find and use library materials in their collections. They are:
Burlington Textiles Library

The Burlington Textiles Library has an outstanding collection designed
to support the curriculum and research of textile chemistry, textile materials
and management, and the fiber and polymer science programs. Subject
coverage includes: polymer chemistry, fiber physics, materials science,
dyeing and finishing, prints, radiation curing, textile fundamentals, textile
design, apparel manufacturing, textile crafts, and historic textiles.
The collection hold more than 18,000 journals and monographic volumes.
Specialized resources include technical bulletins of the fiber producers,
and collection of over 3,000 fabric swatches. Reference services,
including computerized literature searching, are provided.
Harrye B. Lyons Design Library

The Design Library is a resource center for architecture, landscape
architecture, industrial and graphic design. Additional information
on art, painting, sculpture, photography, building construction and solar
energy design, and city and urban planning. The Library houses over
47,000 books periodicals and serial volumes and contains several special
collections including a product trade literature file and a slide collection
of 63,000 images.
Natural Resources Library

The natural Resources Library serves the Department of Marine, Earth
and Atmospheric Sciences, the College of Forest Resources, and other campus,
governmental and industrial users. Subject coverage includes domestic and
international forestry, pulp and paper, recreation, tourism, and the earth,
marine and atmospheric sciences. The library provides networked access
to a wide range of electronic resources, including Geographic Information
Systems software and spatial data. The library collection totals
35,000 volumes.
Veterinary Medical Library

The Veterinary Medical Library is designed to serve the faculty, students,
and staff of the college, NC veterinarians, and the community, as well
as to support the college's curriculum and research in veterinary medicine.
It houses a collection totaling 43,057 volumes including 495 journal
subscriptions, and an audiovisual collection including slide sets, video,
and audio cassettes. The library offers interlibrary loan service for faculty,
students and staff of the college. A large multimedia center with
individual and group carrels/workstations for viewing multimedia material
is located within the Library.
