UNDERGRADUATE PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR MATRICULATION AND GRADUATION IN ENGINEERING

ADMISSION TO DEGREE PROGRAMS

In order to be eligible to apply for admission into a College of Engineering degree program, including computer science, students must successfully complete at least 28 semester credit hours.  These must include the following courses, or their equivalent: E 115, ENG 111, MA 141, MA 241, PY 205, CH 101, CH 121, and at least one of CH 107, CSC 112, or CSC 114.  A grade of “D” in ENG 112 is acceptable for all programs in Engineering except Computer Science.

GRADE POINT AVERAGE REQUIREMENTS

All baccalaureate degree programs in the College of Engineering have a graduation requirement of at least a 2.00 grade point average for all courses attempted within the student's major, or the alternative graduation requirement of a C- or better in all required courses within the student's major.  For this purpose, the major is defined as including only those courses offered by the major department or courses which are substituted for the required major courses.
