ENGINEERING

On-Campus Transfer Admissions Policy College of Engineering

 

Students are guaranteed admission to the Engineering degree program of their choice (except Biomedical Engineering), if they meet the following requirements prior to attempting 60 credit hours at NC State:

 

·        completed CH 101, CH 102, ENG 101, MA 141, MA 241, and PY 205 with a C – or higher, and E 115 satisfactorily (S) (English requirement depends upon semester of first enrollment, and may be satisfied by ENG 101 or ENG 111Z or ENG 111/112)

 

·        2.9 or higher cumulative NC State GPA

 

·        space is available in the requested degree program

 

A student who has satisfactorily completed the required courses, but does not meet the cumulative grade point average requirement, may request a departmental evaluation of his or her transcript by contacting Dr. Mary Clare Robbins.

BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

Students who wish to transfer to Biomedical Engineering must meet eligibility requirements as stated above and submit a written application to the Biomedical Engineering Admissions Committee.   If you need additional information, please contact Ms. Lesley Hubbard.
