Undergraduate Research Symposium

Awards and Recognition

Student authors may choose one of four categories in which to designate their research projects: In each category, a team of faculty judges will select the most outstanding projects for special recognition. Student authors whose projects are selected will receive a certificate of recognition from Sigma Xi and a monetary award from the sponsoring groups. The authors will also be cited at the University Honors Convocation. Students who present outstanding contributions will be strongly encouraged to offer their research papers in other appropriate forums.

Please note: The projects in a category will be judged on the quality of the work and presentation--not on how well the work relates to the designated category.
