The 5th Annual

NC State University

Undergraduate Summer Research Symposium

Call for Posters

The 5th Annual NC State Undergraduate Summer Research Symposium will be held on Thursday, August 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Jane S. McKimmon Center with student poster presentations from 9:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for undergraduates to obtain valuable experience in making a research presentation.

Any undergraduates who are engaged in research projects over the summer or were engaged in academic year research projects and who would like to have the opportunity to present a poster should e-mail Alison Al-Baati in the Graduate School by no later than **July 17, 2006**. The e-mail should include: 1) the student's full name, e-mail address and phone number; 2) the name of the student's research mentor; 3) field of study; and 4) tentative title of research. Those who give notification of intent to present at the Symposium will be sent further instructions.

Faculty and staff are also strongly encouraged to attend as well since they will not only have a chance to see the diversity of research projects being conducted at NC State, but also will have a chance to speak to top undergraduates from across the United States whom they may wish to recruit into their graduate programs.

The symposium is sponsored by the Graduate School, the Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs, the NSF-AGEP, and the NSF Science and Technology Center for Environmentally Responsible Solvents and Processes.

Questions should be directed to

          Ms. Alison Al-Baati  (513-0005)
