Beach Trip to Fort Macon, NC

We have decided to hold the REU Beach Trip on July 15, with a modification in destination.  Please forward the following message to your REU participants:

Hi,

The Joint REU Beach Trip is now scheduled for July 15, leaving at 8:30 am from the north side of the Honors Commons Building.  We will go to Fort Macon, NC and travel time is approximately 3 hours each way (same as the Fort Fisher trip).  If you plan to go, please fill out the following information and RETURN TO sopaur@math.ncsu.edu BY NOON, THURSDAY JULY 6.  Costs for gas are $!0 each (either to the van driver or private car driver).

You should plan on bringing your own lunch (either get it at the convenience store or order a box lunch, using the attached form).  If you get a box lunch, the form needs to be returned to University_Honors@ncsu.edu by Wednesday, July 12.  Included with the box lunch will be chips, cookie, fruit and mustard/mayo condiment.

You will also need to pay for your dinner on the way back.  One possibility is eating at the Sanitary Fish Market in Morehead City.  The Sanitary Fish Market is a well-known coastal restaurant specializing in Calabash style seafood.  Costs for a meal there are in the $10-$20 range, depending on what you order.  It's not necessary for everybody to eat there but we do need to know how many want to go there so please indicate that below.
