20 Midnight Deadline for
student registration and abstract for Summer Symposium – Mentors MUST approve
the abstract!
July 21, 3:00-4:30 pm The Graduate School Process, Williams 2215. Dr. David Shafer, Assistant Dean for Diversity and Outreach will talk to students about how to make themselves better candidates for graduate school and go over additional funding opportunities (than NSF). There will also be a small graduate student panel.
*Poster Review Workshop* - Immediately following The
Graduate School Process will be a poster peer review session. Students
will need to bring 3 normal paper sized rough drafts of their posters,
so that they can be reviewed. Note: This is a change from the original
date and time, which was July 16th at 3p.
July 27th - AGEP and IMSD Graduate Student Symposium - AGEP and
IMSD's graduate students will be presenting their summer research in a
symposium at McKimmon Center on July 27th beginning at 2:00p. There
will be both oral and poster sessions. This is a great opportunity for
undergraduate students to get an idea of how to present their posters
later in the week and find out what is expected of them on a graduate
level.
