About Us

Assessment efforts at NC State are somewhat decentralized, with assessment professionals working in different units around the university. The Office of Assessment in the Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs has three main responsibilities: to support the annual assessment and periodic comprehensive review of undergraduate academic programs; to support the assessment of general education outcomes; and to support assessment of the various units in the Division of UAP. We also host the annual NCSU Undergraduate Assessment Symposium. Finally, we provide analytical support to a number of DUAP initiatives, including general education administration and special programs administered by the Dean and Associate Dean of DUAP.

To carry out these duties, a Director, an Assistant Director, an Administrative Assistant, and a Symposium Coordinator staff the Office. In addition, we employ varying numbers of graduate students to assist with certain aspects of our work. More details about our goals, objectives and outcomes can be found in our
2006-2007 Assessment Plan.
