The Student Organization Resource Center connects with OrgSync to help students

Stay Informed and Involved at North Carolina State University

OrgSync, an online program, which will link all the clubs and organizations on campus together, is being implemented by the Student Organization Resource Center (SORC) at North Carolina State University this semester. OrgSync is an organization networking community, which not only allows organizations and their members to interact in a secure community, but it allows students to keep up-to-date with organizational events.

Online registration is one of the many benefits of OrgSync. Clubs will all have access to an organizational portal that will allow them to manage their organizations better, to organize discussions, posts and photos and to develop websites. The SORC staff is excited that they will now be able to offer a more environmentally conscience approach to organization registration by implementing online registration and eliminating the need to have paper copies of registration forms. OrgSync will allow the SORC and each student leader to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in communicating with members.

As an essential part of the implementation process the SORC office will require all clubs and organizations on campus to maintain an OrgSync account. Implementation of OrgSync will be done in phases with the first phase being the online registration of all student organizations by the president of the student group. The SORC has begun to invite all student leaders to set up an account profile in OrgSync and complete online registration. Once the president has registered the group through the online system they will need to attend an Orientation Session. During the orientation sessions each student leader will be able to gain access to their organization's portal.

The orientation sessions will be offered throughout the month of October with some sessions being held in the SORC office, Room 1202 Talley Student Center and some of the sessions will be provided by means of a call in conference call and a web-based demonstration. Very soon, every student on campus will be able to sign on to an individual student portal through OrgSync and using the tools provided they will be able to produce a transcript of the co-curricular activities they are involved in.

To find out more about OrgSync the SORC office staff invites you to explore OrgSync through their website.
