Headed the research team that found Willo, the first dinosaur fossil ever discovered with a heart. Also serves as senior curator at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Current research focuses on trends in the evolution of life on Earth; the biogeography of Southern dinosaurs; and how dinosaur-dominated ecosystems differed from other ecosystems.
