CSLEPS 2008 Visionary Leaders
In Spring 2008 the following University Scholars were awarded "Visionary Leaders Certificates" from the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics, & Public Service. These students completed a series of 10 Leadership workshops, a minimum of 20 hours of community service and created a leadership portfolio:

CSLEPS 2008 Alternative Spring Break
Sponsored by the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics and Public Service, the Alternative Spring Break trip provides a way for students to get immersed in culture while serving others. This year, the center sponsored international trips to the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Belize, and Italy. Domestic trips included Philadelphia, Alaska, New Mexico and the Gulf Coast.

Leadershape 2007
The purpose of the LeaderShape Institute is to produce a breakthrough in the leadership capacity of participants. This highly interactive and energizing program provides the tools for individuals to: Increase their commitment to act consistently with core ethical values, personal values, and convictions; Enhance their capability to develop and enrich relationships as well as strengthen their commitment to respect the dignity and contributions of all people; and Embrace the belief in a “healthy disregard for the impossible.” The following University Scholars participated in Leadershape 2007 this spring:
