Field Trips
University Scholars Program : Current Students : Scholars Forum : Field Trips

Day and Weekend trips
Each semester University Scholars have the opportunity to go on several different trips across the region to various noteworthy sites and museums. Outdoor adventures planned for 2009-10 include a visit to the Duke Lemur Center, a walk through Cary's Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve, a visit to Prairie Ridge, and an afternoon canoeing on Lake Wheeler. Museum field trips will include the NC Museum of Art, NC Museum of Natural Sciences, NC Museum of History, and the Nasher Museum's exhibit on "Picasso and the Allure of Language." And for those more interested in science than art, a trip to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office, a tour of NC State's Nuclear Reactor, a visit to the Solar House, and a tour of the State Bureau of Investigations (CSI in action!) will round out the schedule.
