OVERVIEW OF WOLFWHEELS PROGRAM

The WolfWheels bike-rental program offers a unique, innovative approach to sustainable transportation at NC State University.  All students, faculty, and staff with a valid campus ID are able to rent bicycles on a daily, weekend, weekly or semester long basis.

WolfWheels was developed by a team of students and staff in a collaborative effort to become a more health conscious and sustainable campus.  The concept  has become increasingly popular for campuses and communities across the US.  Here at NC State University, the WolfWheels program provides this healthy environmentally-conscious transportation option through a rental system provided by the Campus Recreation department.

The program not only allows renters the ability to obtain bicycles, NC State Outdoor Adventures also offers maintenance clinics and workshops for all students, faculty and staff.  Users are encouraged to participate at various levels throughout the program.

Students have a leadership role in this program, helping to maintain, rent and organize the bicycles.
