Request A WolfWise Account

Any faculty or staff member may request a WolfWise account by filling out the Request a WolfWise account form. If you need an account for a student worker and/or a generic account for any reason, please send a note to the OIT Help Desk (515-4357). Requesting a WolfWise account will result in all of your centrally-provided email going to your WolfWise account. After your WolfWise account has been created, any mail sent to your Unity account will be redirected to your WolfWise account. If you do not wish for your mail to be migrated to WolfWise from your Unity/Cyrus account, please contact the Help Desk.

Depending on how you want to use WolfWise, you may or may not need software. Follow these links for details:

 

Request a WolfWise Resource

Resources in WolfWise allow you to manage the scheduling or reservation of various items, such as conference rooms, vehicles, keys, parking permits, training labs, etc by having an account dedicated to this resource. As an owner of a resource, you can allow for automatic confirmations for the resource, or can have more granular control and approve confirmations. The owner can also give others proxy access to help manage the resource.

Any faculty or staff member may request a new WolfWise resource by filling out the WolfWise: New Resource request form. If you have an existing resource that requires deletion or some other change, please contact the NC State Help Desk (help@ncsu.edu). Before filling out this form, please make sure that you will be the owner of the resource; if not, have the person responsible submit this request. Resources are typically created within 3-5 business days of the request being submitted.

If you are going to be the owner, but do not have a WolfWise account, please request one using the Request Account form. You must have a WW account before you can manage a resource.

The default access when a resource is created is as follows:

1. Searchable by anyone in GW, but they can only see busy times not actual events
2. No automatic booking; requires confirmation from resource owner or contact (you can set up rules for automatic confirmation if not busy, etc)
3. Owner has proxy access to resource by default
