Job Opportunities
There are several categories of jobs in the Women's Center: work-study positions, graduate assistants, graduate interns, and full-time professionals.
Work-study Positions: Work-study positins are for undergraduate students who qualify for the federal work study program through the Financial Aid Office. We are seeking one work study student to begin in the Fall 2008 semester. This position would do a variety of tasks including general office help, assisting with various programs, and working with our library. If you are interested in this position, please complete the application and return it to our office along with a copy of your work study award information (available through Financial Aid Office).
Undergraduate Position:
Undergraduate Interns (Unpaid): We accept undergraduate intern applications throughout the year. However, applicants must be receiving class credit and, therefore, usually begin the internship at the beginning of a semester.
Graduate Positions:
Graduate Assistant (Paid): We currently do NOT have a graduate assistant position available.. When the position becomes available, it will be posted on our website.
Graduate Interns (Unpaid): Although we accept intern applications throughout the year, applicants receiving class credit usually begin at the beginning of a semester. Please read the job information and description before submitting an application. Completed applications should be returned to the Women's Center by April 15, 2008.
Full-time Professional Positions: These positions are classified as EPA (exempt from the personnel act (such as director, assistant director, etc.) and SPA (subject to the personnel act which includes office/clerical positions). At this time we have no openings. However, they would be posted here as well as on the NC State Human Resources website.
Note: If positions become available, this page will be updated with the position and a link to the description and application process.
If you do not qualify for one of the above positions, but are interested in learning more about the Women's Center or gender issues, we encourage you to consider becoming a volunteer in our office.
