Sit and Stitch - Knitting . .
In the fall of 2003 at the request of a student, the Women's Center began a knitting group. Since that time, participants have brought crochet, cross stitch, weaving, and even chain link to this time together as a group. The main focus of the group, however, is knitting and it bringss students, faculty, and staff together to learn and practice this wonderful craft. The Women's Center supplies yarn, patterns, and instruction. We ask participants to bring their own needles. If you are a beginner, a pair of size 8 short knitting needles is recommended. Although any needles will work, shorter ones tend to be easier when beginning.
The group meets each Tuesday evening at 5:30 PM in Room 3125, Talley Student Center. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced knitter, we invite you to join us at any time. Registration is not required.
