2009-2010 WRRI Call for Pre-Proposals and InstructionsAugust 20, 2008 Pre-proposals are solicited from faculty members of senior colleges and universities in North Carolina for grants under the Water Resources Research Institute’s Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Program. The deadline for submitting pre-proposals is 5:00 pm ET, Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Download the instructions for the Call for Pre-proposals and the Research Priorities:
Total available funds are approximately $250,000. This includes $92,000 in federal funds, if appropriated, from the U.S. Geological Survey. If your pre-proposal is accepted, WRRI will request a full proposal from you that will be due November 7, 2008. Please follow the instructions closely. The maximum award is $50,000. The starting date for projects is no earlier than March 1, 2009 and must be completed within a 12-month period. Investigators may apply for funding on continued (Phase II) research projects contingent upon successful progress on the first year’s funding. Investigators will still need to submit a pre-proposal to be considered for Phase II. Timeline: This timeline depends upon the timing of the Congressional budget approval process for federal fiscal year 2009.
