2008-2009 WRRI Call for Proposals and InstructionsAugust 6, 2007 Proposals are solicited from faculty members of senior colleges and universities in North Carolina for grants under the Water Resources Research Institute’s Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Program. The deadline for submitting proposals is October 5, 2007. No exceptions will be made to this deadline. The following components of this Call for Proposals can be downloaded. Some are in Microsoft Word or Excel so that investigators may fill them in and print them. You will need all of these components to submit an application:
We will accept pre-proposals through 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2007. We strongly encourage you to submit a pre-proposal if you would like input from WRRI on your proposed research. Pre-proposals are not required, but welcome. Please submit pre-proposals as an MS Word or PDF document via http://www.ncsu.edu/wrri/cfp/preproposal.html. Total available funds are approximately $300,000. This includes $92,000 in federal funds, if appropriated, from the U.S. Geological Survey. A complete application/instruction package for the WRRI grant program is available at the WRRI web site. Please follow the instructions closely. The maximum award is $50,000. The anticipated starting date for projects is no earlier than March 1, 2008. Projects funded through WRRI must be completed within a 12-month period, but investigators may apply for a 12-month renewal next year. For previous-year projects to be considered for second-year funding, investigators must submit proposals in the same manner as new project proposals. Proposals for the WRRI program should be submitted no later than October 5, 2007, as an MS Word or text-searchable PDF document, via http://www.ncsu.edu/wrri/cfp/enter.html. Questions?
