Institute Directors:
This is a critical time for the National Institutes for Water Resources. We are vigorously engaged in strategic planning and need the input of all directors to determine our role in implementing the recommendations of these reports.
We will meet again at The Doubletree Hotel (Formerly the Washington Terrace Hotel) on Scott Circle. The hotel page gives hotel information and reservation links. You must make your hotel reservation by January 25, 2008 to receive the NIWR meeting rate.
The Water Resources Research Institute of The University of North Carolina at NC State University is handling meeting registration – (please see the registration page) and the agenda can be downloaded from the website. We will not send out a large "briefing book" in advance of the meeting. The documents that comprise the entire briefing book will be available for download and a small mailing of new or changed information will be sent just prior to the meeting.
In order to assure your time in Washington is well spent, we suggest that you make appointments in the offices of your Congressional delegation on Capitol Hill.
I look forward to seeing you all in Washington!
