“I think every student should spend time abroad in a country that they are passionate about. NC State’s Study Abroad program offers so many great opportunities that not many people get in their lifetime. It afforded me the chance to learn the basics of Fashion Design in Florence, Italy while experiencing a different culture first hand. That is definitely one of the highlights of my 5 years in the Anni Albers program.” ~Brandon Alley c/o 2008 “I have participated in 2 summer study abroad programs, both offered through the College of Design. In 2005, I traveled throughout Ghana, West Africa where I experienced , first hand, skills and traditions in art, textile & fiber design. As a 6 credit hour studio, we worked to solve design development and marketing issues to increase productivity and product diversification. In the summer of 2007, I traveled to Prague, Czech Republic to study Animation and work with the fascinating 3D digital program known as Maya. Both trips, full of friends, fun and more than I could ever experience in the classroom, were possible because of the Albers Program!” ~Jenna Eason c/o 2007 “One of the aspects that interests me about the Albers Program and NC State is the opportunity to study abroad.
