Kyle Blue, Design Director of DWELL Magazine
Burns Auditorium, Monday, November 10 at 5 pm.
Kyle Blue has been the Design Director of Dwell since January 2007. Kyle has led his team through a complete redesign of the periodical, which is now entering its second volume since the change. Before being appointed at his current position Kyle worked as a senior designer for Apple. Prior to that, Kyle held the position of Senior Designer at Dwell for 2 years, which proves he really can’t get enough of a good thing. As a design fellow at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, he designed books such as “Julie Mehretu: Drawing and Painting” as well as materials for museum exhibitions and various programs. Kyle has also worked for Tenazas Design in San Francisco and Yee Haw Industries. A native of North Carolina, and graduate of NC State’s Graphic Design program, Kyle now lives and works in San Francisco, CA, where enjoys the high octane mix of perpetually flowing quality coffee beverages and fixed gear bicycling.
