Bain Project May 9-10 and May 16-17

The Bain Project is a site-specific art installation exploring Raleigh’s historic E.B. Bain Waterworks. On view throughout Bain will be installations and performances of 12 artists who have worked collaboratively in the space for the past 9 months. The building and the accompanying temporary art will be open to the public on two consecutive weekends:

May 9th, 10th and May 16th, 17th, 2009, from 1 to 5 pm.

Artists participating include Christian Karkow (M.Arch. 2003), Marty Baird, Sarah Powers, Daniel Kelly (BAD 2003), Stacey Kirby, Luke Buchanan, Lee Moore, Tim Kiernan (BAD; BA 2002), Jen Coon, Lia Newman, Associate Professor of Art + Design Dana Raymond, and David Nicolay (BID 2003). Space secured by Tracy Spencer (BAD 2004). Documentation to be provided by Chris “Critter” Wentworth (BGD 2007), KC Ramsay (BEDA 1976) and Natasha Johnson.

May 9th, 10th, 16th & 17th - Open from 1pm-5pm
Sound Performances at 2 pm & 4 pm
