Southern Roots of Mid-Century Modern Exhibition ongoing at the Gregg

“Southern Roots of Mid-Century Modern” exhibition is ongoing at the Gregg Museum of Art and Design August 19 through December 18, 2010. The opening reception will take place on Thursday, September 9 from 6-8 p.m.

The exhibition will feature works by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles Eames, George Nelson, Marcel Breuer, Eero Saarinen, Matthew Nowicki, George Nakashima, Grete Jalk, Russel Wright, Christian Dior and many others. It will also feature works by past College of Design professors including George Matsumoto, Duncan Stuart, James Fitzgibbon, Joe Cox, George Bireline, Bob Burns, Eduardo Catalano and Buckminster Fuller.
