Young Inventors Cause A Stir. Six pre-teens worked with industrial design professors and graduate students to conceive, prototype and develop presentations about their new products in an intensive two-week summer program called the Middle School Innovators Academy, held in the College of Design.
Motley Retires After 38 Years. Assistant Dean Emerita of Student and Academic Affairs Marva Motley, a friendly advocate for design and veterinary students, retired on August 1, 2010 after 38 years at NC State.
The Kid from Atencingo. Saul Flores, a Caldwell Fellow and a junior majoring in design and marketing, began his journey in Ecuador on May 17 and ended it in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 11.
