With the retirement of Marva Motley, Tameka Whitaker has stepped into the Assistant Dean for Student and Academic Services position. Whitaker came to NC State in 2004 from other UNC University System schools and worked several positions in University Registration and Records before moving to the College of Design as Career and Academic Advisor in 2008. She holds a master in adult education from North Carolina A&T State University and a bachelor in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In her new position, Whitaker oversees recruitment and retention of undergraduate and graduate students at the College.
