A limited number of merit-based teaching and research assistantships are available to incoming doctoral students on the recommendation of the admissions committee. Assistantships are renewable annually for up to three years for students who maintain appropriate academic standing and are enrolled as full-time students. In addition to a stipend (approximately $8,000/academic year), these assistantships qualify students to receive health insurance and a tuition waiver. The monetary value of this support exceeds $25,000/year.) No special application is required.

International students are eligible for only a limited number of financial aid programs. They will be asked to provide evidence that they possess the necessary monetary funds before a US visa will be issued prior to their journey to this country. International students under teaching and research assistantships must reside in the United States during the semesters under which they receive stipends and tuition waivers and may not work more than 20 hours per week from all employment sources.
