This project focused on the potential changes to neighborhoods and commercial areas in and around New Bern, NC. Digital imaging techniques were used to create photo-realistic visualizations of the potential changes. Each change was "layered" in the image for that several options for the degree or implementation of the changes could be visualized.![]() Existing Condition Proposed The city wanted to reduce the number and height of the signs related to a car lot. The solution combined some of the redundant signs and lowered their height to reduce visual polution, but still allow the dealership to advertise. ![]() Existing Condition Proposed This image shows what a busy intersection could look like with trees and curbs. ![]() Existing Condition Proposed This image shows what a manufactured home development could look like in the future with trees and sidewalks. ![]() Existing Condition Proposed 1 Proposed 2 The city needs to make this road wider and wanted to see 2 possibilities. The first is a bleak version, while the second gives a little green back instead of just taking away. |
