For Students

The Fourth Annual Meeting of the Minds Conference welcomes students to present the unique contributions of their research and creative projects from within a variety of academic disciplines. This is an ideal opportunity to showcase your work to other students and faculty with similar research interests from across the Atlantic Coast Conference.


Projects should entail and demonstrate proficiency in directed research scholarship.  Research can incorporate many formats including:

Cell, Molecular, Developmental Biology, BCH
Education, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology
Evolution, Ecology, Environmental, Animal Behavior
Literature, History
Oceans, Meteorology, Geology
Philosophy, Religion
Physics, Chemistry, Math
Visual Arts without display


Student Presentation Formats

Students are invited to present their research in any of the following formats:

  • Oral Presentation (20 minutes includes 5 minutes for questions); 4 per institution.
  • Poster Presentations (3ft x 4ft poster attended for 50 minutes on easels & boards we will provide); 2 per institution; see Exhibits and Models below
  • Exhibits and Models (display tables will be provided during the poster presentation sessions; these should be attended for 50 minutes)
