Term Details - Special Entry Rates (SERs)

A special entry rate [also called special minimum rates (SMR)] that increases the minimum salary for new employees or adjusts the in-range salaries for probationary or current permanent employees. This rate would be implemented for certain SPA positions that experience critical recruitment or employee retention problems. HR provides notice of implementation of special minimum rates to departments.
