Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is an east coast hub, ranking as one of the nation's fastest-growing airports and serving Raleigh and the rest of the Triangle area of North Carolina. A new contemporary terminal just opened in 2009. RDU is located at the western edge of Wake County, near Cary, Morrisville and Research Triangle Park and midway between the cities of Raleigh and Durham. Taxi Service from RDU

RDU Airport Taxi Service is operated by RDU Taxi, Inc. through an agreement with the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. To schedule a taxi in advance, please call (919) 840-7277. Of course, on-demand service at RDU is also available. The taxi dispatch booths are located on the curb outside the terminals’ baggage claim areas. A typical one-way fare between RDU and downtown Raleigh is approximately $30.00.

Shuttle Service from RDU

SuperShuttle offers shared-ride van service from RDU to destinations throughout the Triangle region. The company accepts reservations through their Web site as well as at one of the three SuperShuttle counters at RDU. Passengers should check in at one of the three SuperShuttle counters in the terminals after claiming their luggage. The company operates from before the first flight each morning until after the last flight has arrived. I-40, which connects the east and west coasts of the United States, passes through Raleigh and serves as one of the area's main thoroughfares. The area's first-rate system of state highways and the I-440 Beltline encircling Raleigh provide easy access to the city, surrounding communities and world-renowned Research Triangle Park. I-95 and I-85 run within 25 miles of the city. Both Conference hotels offer parking decks specific for their guests; please inquire about parking rates and specific directions when making your lodging reservations.

From I-40 (east or west) and from Raleigh-Durham Airport

Take Exit 298-B (South Saunders Street). South Saunders Street becomes McDowell Street. Stay on McDowell and turn right onto Davie Street. Turn right onto Salisbury Street. The Convention Center is one block on the right.

From Route 64 East (headed west into Raleigh)

Come into town on New Bern Avenue, which becomes Edenton Street. Just past the State Capital Building turn left onto Salisbury Street. The Convention Center is 7 blocks down on the right.

From Route 70 West

Route 70 will turn into Glenwood Avenue coming into Raleigh. Take Glenwood Avenue until it meets Hillsborough Street (about 5 miles). Turn left onto Hillsborough Street. Stay on Hillsborough Street until it Ts into Salisbury Street. Turn right onto Salisbury St. The Convention Center is 7 blocks down on the right.

From Route 1 North (headed into Raleigh)

Take Capital Boulevard into Downtown Raleigh. Capital Boulevard becomes Dawson Street. From Dawson Street turn left onto Davie Street. From Davie, take the second right onto Salisbury Street. The Convention Center is one block down on the right.

From I-95 South (headed north into Raleigh)

I-95 junctions with I-40 in Benson, NC. Take I-40 west into Raleigh and follow directions from I-40.

From I-95 (Headed south into Raleigh)

I-95 junctions with both Route 1 and Route 64. Route 1 junctions north of Rocky Mount. Take Route 1 south and follow the directions above. Route 64 junctions in Rocky Mount. Follow 64 west and follow the directions above.
