North Carolina is home to 61 wine producers and ranks 10th for both wine and grape production in the U.S. The third annual "Celebrate N.C. Wines" event will showcase award-winning North Carolina wines, demonstrations of wine and food pairings, and an inside look at viticulture and enology research in the North Carolina State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Participants will enjoy tastings from a number of the state's wineries, as well as heavy hors d'oeuvres, live music, a silent auction and the beauties of the garden in fall. The event is open to the public.
Presented by the N.C. State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and co-sponsored by the JC Raulston Arboretum and the North Carolina Wine and Grape Council.
