Lecture topic is structural pest control

The first Vince Parman Memorial Lecture, featuring a presentation by Dr. Michael Rust, entomology professor at the University of California-Riverside, is at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at North Carolina State University.

The lecture is in Room 3503, Gardner Hall. Refreshments will be served at 11 a.m.

Rust is a world leader in urban entomology and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The title of his presentation is "In Search of a New Paradigm in Structural Pest Control."

Vince Parman was a doctoral student in entomology who died unexpectedly of a heart attack in 2007. He was also a senior research scientist with Bayer Environmental Sciences, and the lecture is sponsored by Bayer.
