Laid off? Planning your next career move? NC State webinar offers advice, resources

A Web-based seminar, "Pack's Professional Parachute," will offer techniques, ideas and resources to people who have been laid off from their jobs or are planning a career move during these difficult economic times. Topics include resume writing, networking tips and technology tools. The webinar is free and open to the public.

The webinar is presented by three North Carolina State University organizations: College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Career Services, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Alumni and Friends Society and the NC State Alumni Association.

Webinar presenters are Marcy Bullock, director of Career Services in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Sue Simonds, director of Alumni Career Services for the NC State Alumni Association.

"We know that times are tough, and we want to offer advice to help our alumni and others navigate the changing times successfully," Bullock said.
