Research Assistants

Participating as an undergraduate research assistant (RA) provides valuable experience to those who are interested in applying to graduate school. Responsibilities include recruiting participants, testing both older and younger adult participants, and assisting with lab operations.

Categories of Research

In order to participate as a research assistant with the Adult Development Laboratory, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Dedicate 10 hours per week
  • Have an overall and PSY major GPA of 3.0
  • Have completed at least one section of the PSY 230 or PSY 240 series
  • Be hard-working, motivated, and dependable

Course Credit

Students can enroll in up to 3 credit hours of PSY 499, which is offered in Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters while acting as a research assistant with our lab.
