Atlantic Beach

Atlantic Beach is the most densely populated area on Bogue Banks. Many tourists come here to enjoy the beach and its recreational activities.
How have humans altered the ecology of this barrier island?
How does the sediment in these photos compare with the sediment in other areas of Bogue Banks, such as Emerald Isle, Salter Path, Pine Knoll Shores, and Fort Macon?
