Update to Colleagues
The following is a memo shared with faculty leadership on Feb. 8 from Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Warwick Arden and Executive Vice Chancellor Charles Maimone.
Dear Colleagues,
As was shared at the Faculty Senate meeting on Feb. 6, 2024, we have and continue to consult with agency partners regarding the evaluation of the environment in Poe Hall, which is vital to how we address any community concerns, particularly those around health.
The language in the memo referencing the closure of a confidentially requested Health Hazard Evaluation (HHE) does not align with our understanding of the process with NIOSH. NC State did not receive a copy of this internal memo. Once we were made aware of the memo, we reached out to NIOSH to correct the record. In the spirit of transparency, please see that letter attached for your reference.
