Webinar Link and Follow-Up

Good afternoon,

Thank you to all who attended yesterday’s informational webinar and for the questions submitted ahead of time. For those who were unable to attend the live event, the recording is publicly available. You can watch at your convenience on the Poe Hall Updates website.

During the webinar, Chancellor Randy Woodson; Dr. Zack Moore, the state epidemiologist with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services; Dr. Andrew F. Olshan, a UNC-Chapel Hill epidemiologist; and I answered questions about the building evaluation process, our work with agency partners and the work of understanding potential cancer clusters.

Many of the questions submitted by the community were related to personal health concerns or specific questions about levels of exposure. As Chancellor Woodson and I shared during the webinar, if you have personal health concerns, please speak with a medical professional about any symptoms you’re experiencing or questions you may have. We are committed to providing you with more information about the building as it becomes available.

Please check the website regularly for the most up-to-date information on the building evaluation process. Questions and answers from yesterday’s event are being added to the website. Individuals can also continue to submit additional questions via email.

The past several months have required patience, flexibility and creativity, and I want to thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do as we wait for answers. We’re eager to learn more about the building and share it with you in the weeks ahead.

Take care,

Warwick Arden
Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
