NC State’s New Chancellor

Following approval by the UNC Board of Governors, alumnus Kevin Howell has been named the 15th chancellor of North Carolina State University.

Howell is a 1988 @ncstatechass graduate and served as student body president during his senior year. The appointment was announced by University of North Carolina President Peter Hans on Tuesday, March 18, following approval by the UNC Board of Governors. Howell will assume his duties on May 5, 2025.
